The spinning dancer illusion Sensation is the process by which our sensory receptors and nervous system receive and represent stimulus energies from our environment. Perception is the process of organizing and interpreting sensory information, enabling us to recognize meaningful objects and events. My lab/activity is the spinning dancer illusion which was originally created by nobuyuki kayanara. The illusion was related to bistable perception in which an ambiguous 2-dimensional fgure can be seen in from two different perspective, but it is commonly mistaken to e a scientific personality test of right brain/left brain dominance. The spinning dancer is an optical illusion, an optical illusion is an object causing a false visual impression. These kinds of optical illusions are always fun. What they reveal is how our brain processes visual information in order to create a visual model of the world. The visual system evolved to make certain assumptions that are almost always right (like, if something is smaller is it likely farther away). B.
